BROKE ON FIRST USE? NO. IT’S A SAFETY FEATURE ON THIS BLIND!! I ordered two of these and the weather was finally pretty enough to install one of them today. I let them down late this afternoon and when I went to roll them back up, the string broke off somewhere inside the header and now it is broken and will not roll up at all. I find that the blinds I’d had like this are good and don’t deteriorate for 2-4 years Pros: The photos and the measurements are correct for this product. The materials appear to be vinyl/plastic and waterproof. The method of operation is a roll up shade using the attached strings. It does come all put together, ready to use and all you need to do is to hang it up.The latches to hold the strings at a certain height do work well.Cons: Here is the problem I have experienced not only on this shade, but on others from this same co. Great but read this to know what you’re getting 🙂 Header had some cracks, but it’s not noticeable once hung. Looks good for a plastic shade and functions fine. Buying notes: (1) I wouldn’t use in a harsh outdoor or heavy use environment. It’s just not all that sturdy. In fairness, none of these plastic roller shades are. (2) These are only semi private allowing alot of light and some outside visibility. (I have it covering a large bathroom window which has frosted glass. The combination is perfect for full privacy but the shade alone…
