Great deal for the price….until it broke Desperately needed shade for the South side of the house. Have used other shade tents with disasterous results. I often get extreme mountain winds and needed the option to just shut it down when things get wild. I love this awning! After researching other, more expensive, awnings, I decided on the Aleko 8×10 Sand color retractable awning. We installed it over our deck. It was pretty straightforward. We had to buy lag bolts (the kit only comes with masonry bolts)and installed it into studs. Somehow the sand color is the EXACT color of our house! Kwal “Ginger Root” (in case you’re really wrestling with the color). The hand crank is so easy to use. It takes maybe 20-30 seconds to open or close it. I definitely don’t leave it…
