Great for backpack! Pleased with this although I wasnt totally sure what I was buying. Was originally looking for waxed canvas and this was so cheap I thought I’d give it a shot. It’s more like a heavy tarp fabric but easily sewn in my industrial sewing machine. Worked for my needs! I made a backpack with this and leather straps. Best for my application I’ve used this fabric for making a Bimini top for my fishing boat. I’ve only had it on for about a month but water rolls right off of it. I had lots of sewing to do and purchased some heavy duty waterproof nylon thread and a heavy duty needle made for this type of material. Our home electric sewing machine worked marvelously. No issues. After installing my top I found I needed to pull apart one of the channels I sewed. I was unable to do it. The material would not rip and thread hung tight…
