Looks great So I put this together in about two hours and it seems sturdy enough without anchors, however a strong wind is gonna send it to the ground, also by anchoring it to the ground it will increase the overall integrity of the structure. This comes with anchors, but they are nothing more than tent spikes. I chose to make cement blocks and and set the hardware in the cement, the turned out great and even though it was work, it was much easier and less permanent than digging a hole and pouring cement…
Great product, highly recommended… but take appropriate precaution to protect your investment in bad weather These pergolas are great, they look very classy, are light weight and easy to assemble. Very nice for the price I got this when it was on sale for $380, I wouldn’t pay more than that. It is lite, about 60lbs, one support beam came with a small dent, not enough for me to send it back. I just positioned that at the back next to the fence. One plastic clip on the center beam was broken, I’ve emailed the seller to get that piece replaced. It went up in about an hour or so. Would be quicker with 2+ people. I am a 5’6″ 130 lb woman and managed to put this together by myself. The trick is to build it next…
