Great product. Also some ideas to ease installation. My wife and I think that this Coolaroo sun shade has turned an OK outdoor space into something much better. We like the way that it keeps the deck cooler in the bright afternoon sunshine. I understand now the beauty of being able to see through the shade while giving a little more privacy. Perfectly suited for our needs! It’s only been three days since we received two of these shades. Our new porch is unlivable in the afternoon with the sun’s rays directing all of its light and heat on us. We tried other shades but the quality and amount of light they blocked didn’t impress us. Yesterday, we had a party with 40 people and the temperature difference between the uncovered part of the deck and the covered porch was such a relief! Good–but lay in a store of spare parts This review applies to all Coolaroo sun shades, regardless of size or style.While the fabric is great, a number of critical parts are cheap brittle plastic that crack after a year or so. One of these parts is a sort of plastic spring known as an “idle end clip”. When it cracks (and it will), you won’t be able to raise/lower the shade correctly. They last about a year (even in full shade 24/7), so it’s best to order a dozen or so from Coolaroo (currently two dollars per clip). While…
