Thought this would be a nice awning to install rather than a traditional cloth awning Thought this would be a nice awning to install rather than a traditional cloth awning. Box stated white trim, there is nothing white on this awning, all grey and metal trim. The plastic sheets are 1/4″ thick hollow tube, so we’ll see how these stand up to the sun and rain. I was able to put this up by myself, but I can see where it’s much easier with 2 people. It is lacking hardware as stated as it only came with concrete anchor bolts. Great value. Aesthetically very nice. Be patient putting together. Not hard, but the covering is like plastic corregated cardboard. Not a bad thing but comes with some caution. Get some help installing. Not a one person job. Held up very well in recent 4â of heavy Snow and wind. Havenât tried it but I did buy another and thinking about either clear caulk during installation or maybe a clear outdoor tape along the connection of support rib and cover.
