They are nicely finished on top This is a perfect flat pack table.It took literally 5 min to assemble: place the base on the floor, slide in the vertical rod, place the top on the rod and spin till the notches line up. No tools. No room for error.The table is lightweight and very easy to move, but stable and sturdy. I thought this was a really great value for what it cost us I bought five of these tables over a year ago for the venue I work at. They are nicely finished on top, so can be used with or without a cloth. The finish has held up very will against the regular spills and wear and tear they encounter. I bought them primarily to be used as stand-up cocktail tables with the 42″ pole, but the included 30″ pole has come in handy several times making them perfect cafe tables for our concessions areas.
