Very thin plastic, but should work. It is hard to tell from the pic, but the clips I received look much thinner than the ones shown. I am only using them to hold rope lights to the top of my deck, so not hanging, simply holding them in place on a horizontal surface. Will see how well they weather a MN winter. I’m skeptical. Functionally they do the trick so far. But I was hoping for something a little thicker like what the pic appears to be. These are a very thin, translucent plastic. Poor quality product, shipping issue. Paid for early delivery, but came two days later. Was during Prime Week, so that may have had something to do with, but shouldn’t have been a factor for the screws that didn’t come with it either. Clamps were MUCH smaller than suggested by the picture and much more flimsy. Picture gives the impression they are almost like metal…they are not…not even close! Felt more like the old bait-and-switch. Took a picture to show, judge for yourself. Returned the product with no issues, which is…
