The heater arrived in a box that had obviously been opened. It was taped, multiple layers deep, with packing tape, the on off switch was melted (seems a design flaw) and the remote was missing. Unfortunately I had put it together before I realized that later two. Amazon took it back, but it was a time suck and a bit of a hassle for me. My impression of the unit is that the black pole and base are made of very cheap and thin aluminum. I did not request a replacement nor do I plan to order…
