Classic Wood and looks good Very happy with product. It replaces a square 6.5ft unit with 4 ribs I had in a fixed base where the 1 3/8″ pole snapped and NO replacement pole available.. This one is 1 1/2″ with 8 ribs, so it’s a bit sturdier, I hope. 🙂 The biggest differences between this one and the “other” are the canopy frabic and upper and lower runner hubs. Disappointed I was surprised at the overall quality of this umbrella for the inexpensive price. The wooden frame is solid, and it’s attractive dark wood. The umbrella cloth is substantial – not flimsy. However, the two parts of the pole didn’t go togethereasily – they screw together and they were misaligned. It took some effort to get it to work. And we purchased a light color (white) and there were several dark marks on it (I think from the dark stain on the wood). It’s just not worth the hassle to…
