The material is thin and is not a heavy duty material like the Veranda brand I have on my grill UPDATE: This summer, 9 months after we bought them, the fabric started to rip with slight pressure. We had these covers on our patio year round, so they became very weakened by the sun… almost dry-rotted. In my opinion, these furniture covers are almost ALWAYS gong to be outside year round to protect patio furniture, so they should be made from fabric that won’t deteriorate in normal weather conditions.
