Don’t spend more on this style of awning, this thing is well built and looks good I almost didn’t get this because of the sketchy reviews. I’m glad I got it- this thing is very well built for a $90 item and I don’t see any reason to pay more for similar designs. Metal is used for the long clips that go in the front and back of the panels and the bolts are very sturdy. Yes, the brackets and panels themselves are plastic, but that’s true for all awnings of this style I see on Amazon, even those that cost over $300.
