I spent another $120 on materials and hardware to install it because my deck extends away from the west side of my house. To get max shade required installing two 8-foot posts at the far corners of the deck and anchoring the third point to the house.If you plan to keep this up for long periods, invest in quality metal turnbuckles and hardware that will stand up…
Fantastic sun shade! 99.9% UV ray protection! Love this shade. Purchased 2 bc my measurements weren’t correct for the first one. It’s a little tricky; be sure you plan it right before your purchase. I needed larger than first thought. I gave the smaller one to my son rather than return as it is a very nice, quality shade. I use it to shade my hammock between two trees, attached third corner to my deck. It provides just enough shade on the hammock for when I like to lie on it in the late afternoon.
