Unwrapping them

First, carefully unwound the string, starting with the loose end of the copper wire, not the end with the clear wire and solar panel.
Please made sure that there were no kinks as you unwound it. Once the entire strand
was undone, you can wound it onto a scrap of board around (a piece of
cardboard, plywood, paper towel tube or anything you can wind them on will do).
Be sure to wind the copper wire end first, ending with the clear wire and solar panel.
