Mildew Stain Remover quickly removes unsightly mildew stains and mold stain from outdoor acrylic fabrics, vinyl upholstery, fiberglass, vinyl, plastic or painted surfaces. It begins working on contact. The special buffered formula will not harm outdoor stitching or threads. It is a safer alternative to using regular bleach and contains chelating agents and surfactants to clean better than bleach alone. It can be used around the home, on patio furniture, campers, cushions, or wherever mold, mildew, moss, and algae stains are a problem.
Just spray or wipe Starbrite All-Surface Mildew Stain Remover on most canvas, vinyl cushions, vinyl chairs, tile, grout, shower stalls, shower curtain liners, shower mats, bathrooms, awnings, house siding, wood, and more. Do not rinse until stains disappear. Most stains disappear in 15 seconds to 30 seconds. Stubborn stains may require a second application and light scrubbing. Rinse well after use.
For use on most fabrics made for outdoor use like polyester and acylic such as Sunbrella brand; not recommended for use on indoor fabrics, cotton, or clothing. Always test for colorfastness in an inconspicuous area before proceeding with overall cleaning.
PRO TIP: Bleach-based stain removers do not kill mold and mildew, they only remove the stains. For long term mold and mildew stain control, follow with a Chlorine Dioxide-based (ClO2) biocide spray like PERFORMACIDE Mold & Mildew Eliminator. This EPA registered mold, mildew, slime, and fungus killer will not remove stains, so use both products in sequence for optimal results. ClO2 also removes mildew smells and musty odors. Needs a 10 star rating If I could give this product a 10 star rating, I would. My patio cushions looked like they were ready for the trash. I tried washing the cushion covers in the washing machine, scrubbing them with kitchen cleaner, and nothing would clean off the mold. TOO EXPENSIVE for what it is VERY VERY EXPENSIVE – for what it is. Simply diluted bleach and a surfactant. The label lists sodium hypochlorite and sodium hydroxide. Sodium hypochlorite added to water is BLEACH! The sodium hydroxide adjusts pH – do not worry about this.The rating is THREE stars – the average of one star and five stars.
