• Waterproof sails are made from high density polyester that blocks up to 95% of the sun’s UV rays and repels up to 99% of rain water.Please be aware that if the waterproof sail is not installed at an angle, water will begin to accumulate in the center of the sail and eventually the water will seep through. Sometimes small amounts of rainfall will also pass through the hemming of the sail.However,as long as it is installed with at least one corner lower than the other
• (a 30-45 degree angle is recommended) and with enough tension, majority of rainfall will run off. Customers can refer to installation illustration for help. Please note, a tarp is suggested instead if you are looking for 100% dryness. Waterproof sails are not breathable, therefore, are not made to withstand high winds. If you live in a windy area, we highly recommend you consider purchasing our HDPE mesh sunshade sails.
