You get what you pay for, but not in this case. I was looking for a screen to use my Optoma short throw projector. I was looking for a manual pulldown screen since it will not be used as our main TV viewing. I wanted a screen bigger than my 92″ Mitsubishi TV.I was looking at first for a 120″ screen. The Elite screens in this size we’re around $250. I saw Elite made a 100″ screen and was much cheaper. After some research, I found out it was not compatible with short throw projectors. Wrinkled sides– roll over effect Great screen. However, I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn’t wrinkly. Yes, it is wrinkly when I pulled it down (see attached pictures.) When I watch a movie there is a ugly roll over effect on the film. Especially if there is a scene where you look by the corners or landscape the roll over effect is noticeable. Otherwise if it is action packed morely focused on the middle of the screen you can barely tell. It is a nuisance and I don’t know how to fix it. I’m stuck with the wrinkles…
The “flaws” are minimal. I’m a techie videographer guy and I love this screen. I read all the reviews of about 30 different low budget screens, and they all have their flaws. Flaws are minimal on this product if you are setting it up in one place and not expecting to move it a lot. It’s a cheap item, so don’t expect something you can be pulling up and down on a daily basis. If I were doing that, I might expect a malfunction sooner or later. However, if you are looking for the best home projection screen for your dollar, I recommend getting this one.It arrived…
