Bad Quality Shades, Slow Customer Service from WindscreenSoCal/Import Fence Direct Inc The stitching on these rectangular or square waterproof ones are not strong enough to withstand any tension/wind they are subjected to. The D-Rings are not sewn at a 45 degree angle, like all other shade sails I have seen. This means that your mounting points will need to be in line with the D-Ring, not at a 45 degree angle like all other shade sails I have used. I love the color orange so this was a great find at the right size and waterproof too! I was skeptical about the waterproof part but we have gotten SO MUCH rain this spring that I found out quickly that it actually is waterproof. However, if you don’t set it up properly to allow drainage of the water and it sits in an area and pools-it will begin to drip through, I found this out the hard way and had to tighten down the ropes a little more. This shade (and one more from Windscreens4less) make our back patio usable. Our back patio was really unusable because of the mid-day sun during the summer. This sail is great at letting the light through but stopping the hot sun rays.I’d say it’s 95% water proof. Not like a tarp. I feel like there’s a mist that makes it through.
